Self-Care is not Selfish

Attentive and regular monitoring of your levels of physical, mental, emotional and social needs is crucial to self-care. 

Things to consider include: 
Sleep: Do you get enough quality, regular sleep?
•Exercise: Do you manage to take regular exercise or do you have aches and pains preventing you from enjoying or taking part in your usual sports or hobbies? 
•Relaxation: Are you able to relax when you feel you deserve it? It is essential to claim some "me time" by lying down, listening to music, going for a walk, etc. 
•Relationships: Do you allow time for people that are important to you? 
•Do you feel satisfied with your relationships or do some of them put a strain on you? 

Trying to maintain a good balance of all these aspects of life can be challenging. Things can get out of sync when life gets busy or stressful, and you need to ensure you don’t neglect your self-care.
